Topics:
First day – In a theatre
Second day – We are preparing a spectacle
Third day – We are performing the spectacle
I. In a theatre
Objectives:
Introducing the concept of “theatre”,
the vocabulary connected with a theatre (a stage, a curtain, a play, a spectacle, actors, a stage design, decorations, a director, costumes,
music,the audience),
familiarising the children with the printed letter P, p in the words: poster, Peter.
Content:
Introducing the subject of the lesson – (the children put the numbers from 1 to 5 in a growing order, then turn them over and read the password “THEATRE”)
The children’s casual statements about a theatre based on their personal experience (the interior, the mood, the role, etc.)
Preparing the mental map – the children work in groups using large pieces of paper
Presenting the works by the group leaders. Hanging the maps on the wall.
Summing up the group work, the teacher writes the activities on the blackboard – capital letters.
Familiarising the children with “The Legend of The River Łyna”
Discussing the plot: the characters, the place of action
Presenting the posters of spectacles, discussing the elements that should be found there
Making a poster, describing the heard legend.

Objectives:
Preparing the children for responsible performance of an assigned task.
The recollection of the plot of “The Legend of The River Łyna”.
The revision of the graphical picture of the letter P, p.
Content:
The recollection of the legend’s plot
Dividing the group into task-based teams
Narrators and actors – chosen by the teacher
Preparing costumes, music, decorations.
Creative work under the supervision of adults
The rehearsal
Inviting the children from the common room to the spectacle “The Legend of The River Łyna”, giving the poster (chosen by the children)






III. We are performing the spectacle
Objectives:
Preparing the children for brave acting on a stage.
Teaching the ability of verbal expression of emotions.
Developing the auditory-visual analysis and synthesis – making words from syllables.
Content:
Preparing the place for the audience
The dress rehearsal
Presenting the spectacle “The Legend of The River Łyna”
Expressing thanks to the little artists (sweets for children)
